JONWAYNE Live at Electrowerkz!

Electrowerkz 7 Torrens Street, London, UK

Support from:
Reginald Omas Mamode IV

----------------EARLY BIRDS ON SALE NOW!-----------------------

Soundcrash are proud to invite back Stone Throw’s very own Jonwayne to the stage to perform a bigger and better headline live show at Electrowerkz, 17th September 2014! After selling out Birthdays last month in less than 2 weeks, this time we take it up a notch for round two in London town. Support from a Giles Peterson favourite, the fresh London producer - Reginald Omas Mamode IV.

It was a successful year for Jon in 2013 with the release of his debut album ‘Rap Album One’ which received amazing feedback from the all including winning album of the year at Gilles Peterson’s WorldWide Awards 2014! Tickets will indeed go fast for this show. Don’t sleep!

Jonwayne came onto the Los Angeles music scene by way of the east LA club Low End Theory cira 2008 - 09, then emerging as the epicentre of a new generation of hip-hop beat makers: Flying Lotus, Gaslamp Killer, Nosaj Thing, Kutmah and Daedelus. Fresh out of high school, Jonwayne jumped in with homemade rap mixtapes and immersed himself in the scene. He first became known as a producer, releasing the album Brower (2011) - but it was his over-sized skill on the mic that caught the attention of Stones Throw’s Peanut Butter Wolf, who signed him to record his first album as an MC.

South-London electronic producer Reginald Omas Mamode IV is becoming a new favourite...After seemingly popping up out of the blue on Gilles Peterson’s last Brownswood Bubblers compilation back in August, the producer/singer/songwriter has recently been making waves with his brilliant debut Do You? E.P. released earlier in November. His style is soaked in 70′s soul, funk, jazz nostalgia with a mix of J Dilla type production and balmy vocals akin to Bilal and D’Angelo. Needless to say there’s also a UK twist on things which really makes him a super exciting artist for 2014.
