The East Anglia Fundraising Team will be at the Ella-Grace funday on Sunday 8th June.
Ella-Grace Honeyman was diagnosed with the rare and life-threatening brain condition Vein of Galen Malformation (VGAM) just 4 days before her first birthday in June 2008. That same month the Life for Ella-Grace Fund was founded by friends of the Honeyman family who were anxious to help and support the family by raising funds for her life saving treatment.
February 2014 Update
The day has finally arrived - we have been set her next operation date. Dr Berenstein has chosen Wednesday 23rd July so our life has been thrown back onto the rollercoaster and it’s full throttle back into fundraising.
The latest news on Ella-Grace is that she remains stable health wise, which we are thankful for everyday, but her struggles at school have persisted. We have enlisted the help of a private tutor to help reinforce her learning alongside the work carried out at school, but despite all our efforts we have now reached a point where a statement of special educational needs is being applied for. Ella-Grace is working twice as hard as her fellow peers and still struggling with retention of information, combined with short-term memory issues and focus is a huge issue even with 1-2-1 help at certain points throughout the day.
Our fund is still £20,000 short towards her next procedure and fundraising starts again in earnest.
We hope and pray that Ella-Grace continues to get your support.
On the back of this news about her next operation, friends and family of Ella-Grace have organised a Family Funday to help raise the required money for the operation.
We are honored to have been asked to bring our stall to this event.
We urge anybody and everybody to come along and support this amazing little girl
