Rommel Oramas is a native of Quito, Ecuador, where dancing was a part of his culture and something he is very passionate about. Rommel enjoys teaching to inspire people to learn this captivating dance form. He believes, through personal experience, that the process of learning Argentine Tango has brought a deeper awareness of self and of others. His classes emphasize connecting with you’re own body and expanding this connection to the partner, the music, and much more. He is continually finding ways to improve and understand the pedagogy of this dance. His most influential instructors have been: “Los Totis”, Julio Balmaceda, Fernanda y Guillermo especially there teaching methods, Tomas Howlin, Maximilano Cristiani , Jesica Arferoni, and Graciela Gonzalez. Rommel together with Daniela Borgialli received 2nd place in the US Argentine Tango Salon Championships in San Francisco in 2012, and 3rd place in New York City in 2013. ABOUT ROSALIA AND ALEJANDRO:
Rosalía Gasso and Alejandro Barrientos are professional tango performers, instructors, and choreographers, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Their love and passion for the culture, music, and poetry of tango shines through at every moment.They are members of the permanent cast of the highly prestigious tango show at the “Esquina Homero Manzi”, and regularly teach tango at all levels at various locations in Buenos Aires, including the well-known “Escuela Argentina de Tango”, “Centro Cultural San Martin” y “Centro Cultural Recoleta”. They were selected to dance with renowed dance companies as the critically-aclaimed “Tanguera” by Mora Godoy, “Entre Borges y Piazzola” by Juan Carlos Copes” and also they were summoned by the "Opera House” of the “Colón Theatre” to join the cast of "Maria de Buenos Aires” opera by Horacio Ferrer and Piazzola. They participated in many Tango Festivals all over the world performing on the same stage with such artists as Alberto Podesta, Adriana Varela, María Graña, Orquesta El Arranque, Horacio Ferrer, Leo Sujatovich, Estrella Morente, Javier Calamaro, Susana Rinaldi and more. In 2009, they choreographed and organized their own tango show, and took more than 14 dancers and a complete tango orchestra on tour in Korea with great success. Currently, they tour with their own company "Tango Shock" all over the world. During all their tours, Rosalia and Alejandro teach classes and workshops capitalizing on their extensive experience as dancers and teachers. Their classes are legendary for their clear style, their highly effective instruction, and for being just plain fun with dynamic and organic techniques
