FUCK WAR, MAKE ART
Frankie Morello for LUISAVIAROMA
Frankie Morello presents a capsule collection for LUISAVIAROMA to be revealed during
FIRENZE4EVER 9th edition, the event dedicated to stylists, bloggers, style hunters and journalists.
Co-founders and creative souls for Frankie Morello, Maurizio Modica and Pierfrancesco Gigliotti are
releasing a limited edition of 24 items for men and women under the credo “FUCK WAR, MAKE ART.”
The capsule collection includes sweatshirts, t-shirts, bermuda shorts, swimwear, windbreakers and
accessories, all available exclusively at LUISAVIAROMA in store and online.
All 24 pieces are scheduled to go online following the Spring/Summer 2015 menswear runway show
in Milan on 24 June 2014.
Available in black and white, the capsule collection uses symbols like lettering, maxi prints of ancient
Italian sculptures and the video noise that once indicated the end of TV transmissions.
An activist kind of fashion, capable of promoting ideas, FUCK WAR, MAKE ART brings awareness
through its artistic gesture; an artistic gesture that communicates ideals and dreams.
The first step in the project is a video performance created by Felice Limosani in the concept store.
A metaphor and creative interpretation of FUCK WAR, MAKE ART that uses an explosive combination
of mirrors and animation.
“LUISAVIAROMA is one of the most important places in the world for this kind of event and we love
the idea of participating with a series of products that speak to their purchaser,” explain Gigliotti and
Modica. “We thought of useful, quick-use items, and we gave them depth, transforming them into a
positive, and hopefully contagious, outlook.”
Andrea Panconesi says, “Frankie Morello is one of the most innovative and fresh brands on the
market. We’re excited to be working with them on this special project.”
