Kojey Radical is a London based poet, music artist and mixed media visual artist. He is also Creative Director of the PUSHCRAYONS collective/network. Widely credited for his subversive story telling ability Kojey has been referred to as a visionary and pioneer of the arts. Kojey’s raw and emotive approach to performance has been likened to a young Gil Scott Heron. Kojey’s approach and unorthodox style has earned him the attention of Idol Magazine, Mechanical Dummy, The405 and SB.TV to name a few. Proving his versatility, Kojey has worked within a multitude of different industries creating work for the likes of Gfrsh (Disturbing London Records) Oliver Spencer (Contemporary Menswear Designer) exhibiting in the Idea Generation Gallery and Illustrating front row at London Fashion Week. More recently deemed “..The best thing I’ve heard so far this year” by MTV alternate sounds, Kojey has been considered a name to watch out for in 2014.
19 year old comic enthusiast,vocalist and songwriter, Samm Henshaw first discovered he could sing at the tender age of 9, although, he didn't pursue it until more recent years. Samm's first official gig was at popular Shoreditch hot spot 'Acoustic Afternoon' in the summer of 2012. His role in his band is singer and guitarist though he can actually play several instruments. Samm taps in to many classifications, but he is mainly an inhabitant of the soul genre. Ill Funk are a mixture of genres, Reggae, Pop, Soul, Jazz and of course, undoubtedly Funk. They congregated as an acoustic group after finding three of them bestowed the same adoration for music, before making two later additions.
