Our venue is a Campanile Hotel to the South of the City, just off the M62. Bradford is a culturally diverse and bustling city and a fantastic place to be if you're a foodie - they have award winning restaurants such as Mumtaz, Saffron and Akbars. They have been named as the first UNESCO City of Film and also have the National Museum of Photography.
The weekend will offer all the usual delights of a BOScon; classes for folders of all levels, the BOS library, BOS Supplies (with a special convention discount on offer!), our annual AGM, the infamous novelty competition, an extensive exhibition area (where everyone can display their work), a “fold & talk” area where you can relax, tea & coffee and much more. The weekend will have a theme of “size”, so you will be encouraged to fold larger or smaller models than you may be used to. If you have any large paper to bring with you, that would be very welcome. We also invite you to bring the smallest origami model you can fold, a prize will be given for the best entries.
Our guest this year will be the amazing Swiss folder Sipho Mabona. He lives in Lucerne, Switzerland and although still relatively unknown, his work has caused a great stir in the origami world and you will surely be knocked out by the quality and artfulness of his origami. Amongst his many achievements is the folding of a life-sized origami elephant!

Your help needed
BOS conventions are nothing without the volunteer teachers who share their models with us. If you would like to teach a model (either your design or not) please get in touch with the organiser. We also rely on other volunteers to keep things running smoothly, so don’t be shy!
