SoSuEmE turns 7!!!!
Last year 5000 people rocked up to see Hermitude & Alison Wonderland... this year is set to be bigger, sweatier & messier as we cross over to the landmark age of seven years young...
Having hosted some of the biggest Aussie and International acts such as Jagwar Ma, Flume, Kele (Bloc Party) Tame Impala, Cypress Hill, & Art Vs. Science (just to name a few…) Sydney's best Wednesday night party is turning 7 with a BANG featuring a killer lineup of our "so hot right now" musical mates; DMA’s, Touch Sensitive, The Delta Riggs, & SOSUEME DJ’s with the long awaited return of JOYRIDE.
Come get down & dirty with us on Wednesday 2nd July at Beach Road Bondi to celebrate turning the sacred number seven. FREE ENTRY. 8PM
DMA’s (dee-em-ayes) is Johnny Took, Matt Mason and Tommy O’Dell – three friends who came together making nostalgic garage pop in a bedroom in Newtown.
DMA’s debut EP is out now through record label I OH YOU and having locked in a gig at Splendour in the Grass this year, it’s safe to say, expect big things this year from these guys.
Touch Sensitive is an alias of Michael Di Francesco (the keyboardist and synth-wizard from Van She). Di Francesco debuted under the Touch Sensitive alias with the release of “Body Shop” in 2004 through Future Classic in its earliest days. After what seemed like a long hiatus, a collaboration with Anna Lunoe surfaced in 2012 (“Real Talk”). Procuring an undeniably 80s-aesthetic, the Touch Sensitive project represents a revitalized interest in the synth-pop and disco music from that era.
The Delta Riggs
Heiling from the era of Banksy and Julian Casablancas in New York City, The Delta Riggs, are a band of people, for the people. Drawing influences from touring alongside fellow genre-benders Primal Scream & Divine Fits they push their song-writing to new limits, whilst maintaining their core elements. In-line with their ethos of capturing a true moment, DZ was tracked live over just 3 Days in December, once again self-produced by the band.
JOYRIDE (The return of…)
An imposing figure on and off stage, Joyride has quickly established himself as one of Australia's most diverse musical talents. He has spread himself across various genres, using his expansive skill-set to fit seamlessly into each. Joyride's party DJing has seen him secure residencies at some of Sydney's most renowned parties all whilst headlining club nights around the country.
Bondi. Free. Always. Forever.
