For the finissage of CYCLE 2 on Saturday, 14 June 15:00—17:00 PRAXES will host a reading by Monika Rinck and a Post Brothers presentation.
Hopf’s long-term interlocutor Monika Rinck is a German author with a vast production of prose, poems, and non-fiction in her catalogue. The talk develops as a pondering on the joke and its—often nearly stupid—implications, closely connected to Rinck’s recent and acclaimed publication HASENHASS. (Note: Reading in German.)
Post Brothers—the curator, critic, collaborator, collector, and self-entitled crackpot academic, Matthew Post—will give a talk on animations, portable holes, and humor linked to his analysis of Judith Hopf’s Cycle of exhibitions. Post is currently authoring an essay contribution to the PRAXES Papers.
Saturday’s talks will be followed by afternoon drinks, bbq, and music in the garden and on the rooftop terrace. Stop by and help us celebrate another Cycle under our belts!
