This concert's poems (the 2nd concert installment) are laments for gentrification and uproot. They are songs for things that once happened there and for the poet’s continuous becoming among those happenings, inside the cauldron of that bustling republic. These poems are also the spell songs of his leaving – the ghosts who call him away, and the ones who call him back. They span his birth there, his return as a young man, his departure many years later, brief return and the birth of his child that called him away again. They are poems for the people of Brooklyn. They are portrait and personal evolution.
