The exhibition, included as part of the events organized to celebrate the centenary of the birth of the cyber Silvio Ceccato, has a large anthology of Charles Zinelli Veronese (1916-1974), for which the other marks the fortieth anniversary of his death. In fact, the mind is at the center of both the search of Silvio Ceccato, philosopher and linguist irregular, and the painting of Charles Zinelli, unorthodox artist: from the laboratory to investigate the scholar, hotbed of visionary images for the artist. Zinelli is unanimously considered one of the most interesting Italian artists of the twentieth century, even apart from the label "brut" with which it is classified. However, unlike other great artists who have captured the scene of modern art, his work was rediscovered later and his name is only now entering the Olympus of Italian art of the twentieth century. For the majority of the audience so this show will be a surprising, unexpected discovery. The life of Zinelli was not that of an artist any. Due to a severe mental illness at the beginning of the 40s is hospitalized in St. James at the Tomb of Verona. Here, under the guidance of the sculptor Michael Noble, and thanks to the patronage of the legendary Ida Borletti, in 1957 he began his extraordinary artistic activity, consisting of a series of paintings on paper of exceptional quality and rich inventiveness. The painting of Zinelli, which is generally attributed to the canons of 'Art Brut, is simply that of a great modern artist. His images, modulated by an inexhaustible imagination, have the same freshness of primitivist painting a Picasso and a Matisse populate mysterious silhouettes backgrounds with bright colors and are made in the paper as a private writing of the unconscious. The exhibition, curated by the psychiatrist and expert in outsider art and the art historian Giorgio Bedoni Francesco Porzio and realized in collaboration with the Cultural Foundation of San Giovanni Carlo Zinelli Lupatoto, has about 40/50 paintings that make up a significant selection of works of 'artist and witness the salient aspects of his career. An excursus collected in the catalog edited by Bedoni and Porzio and published by the publisher Glyph of Palermo, which is actively promoting knowledge of art brut and outsider Italian. In addition to the section dedicated to the works in the exhibition, the catalog will contain previously unpublished essays and a rich collection of the major works of Zinelli present in public and private collections, so as to constitute a veritable monograph of the artist. Chronicles visionary winds in the premises of the charming historic setting of Villa Ceccato Montecchio Maggiore, on the occasion of the event will be open to the public in its new guise of "cultural container quality" as stated Riccarda Silicani, grandson of Silvio Ceccato and architect of the restoration.
