In the historic city center of Monteleone di Puglia is the festival of Caciocavallo, cicatiell 'and acc' on August 13.
The festival of cheese Monteleone is one of the oldest festivals that highlight the excellent local product, the cheese Monteleone, produced with whole cow's milk obtained from two daily milkings. The rennet obtained for coagulation can be calf, kid or recombinant (obtained from genetically modified organisms).
The event is organized on the occasion of the patronal feast in honor of Maria SS. Heaven and St. Rocco.
