And it is the book to accompany the visitor in an exhibition that culminates in a "show within a show" where you can enjoy the paintings and works on paper dedicated to the theme of the twelfth here a preview: The Caretaker, evocation of a world ironic and grotesque masks that follows the line of a surreal noir tale, full of strong symbolic value and mystery. The exhibition, organized by the Province of Lecco and the City of Varenna, gathers 60 works including drawings and paintings of Bellano, has a prologue in Villa Monastero and then place in an extraordinary mix of images and words in the Sala Rosa and Marco De Marchi . And to give this a sign of renewed love for half, or rather the half that allowed to disclose the ideas and dreams of men. A project was born and raised in the name of an "elective affinity" that is bearing fruit. Thus, on the one hand Giancarlo Vitali makes available its archive of drawings, while Andrea Vitali is measured by the short form of the story, finding a sort of training ground forged by the absolute creative freedom inspirational. Eleven titles, from November 2010 to March 2014, where the two signs, writing and illustrations, art, traveling parallel searching harmonies, playing on the contrast, pointing to harmony. The twelfth will be presented just in Varenna on the occasion of the exhibition. A challenge from the independent "market dynamics" shared with a small, courageous publisher, Cinquesensi of Lucca, which next to the editorial format from the library, each title offers for a limited run (in a variable number of copies equal to the amount of drawings reproduced in each title), turning in its own way the tradition of the artist's book. The newspapers have reserved extensive presentations in this 'publishing event' (Panorama, the Sunday of the Sole 24 Ore, Corriere della Sera, La Repubblica, Art, Rai). Libraries of prestigious international museums have shown their appreciation by purchasing our titles (Metropolitan Museum of Art, MuseumArt Institute of Chicago, the National Gallery of Canada, Getty Museum) 12.
