Angles territory picturesque and suggestive "viviamocilento," the slow festival meant to live slowly and relaxing the passing of the hours surrounded by unspoilt nature. Many, in fact, the boat trips planned to discover marine protected areas, wonderful fragments of a small paradise for those who love the sea. Among the main goals suggested to visitors of the "slow festival" in this next weekend (5-6 September) there is the small, large Palinuro (common Centola), lush resort on the coast whose name springs from a poignant Homeric myth , which offers courses in natural caves and pristine beaches among the most beautiful in Italy. Sailed from the harbor of Palinuro, navigating in a crystal clear blue water and up to Punta Infreschi, so called because of a fresh water spring that lowers the internal temperature and that once allowed the tonnaroli to put the fresh catch . A must is Cala Bianca, elected by Legambiente 'most beautiful beach in Italy', but the famous Grotta Azzurra continues to exert its ancient fascination for visitors. Its name comes from the spectacular play of light created by a pipe 20 meters of depth that allows the penetration of sunlight, making it almost unreal, as well as immensely impressive, the whole environment. In the so-called Cala Fetente there is the sulfur caves, the highest expression of the phenomenon of hydrothermal Capo Palinuro. The seabed and its walls give off fumes of hydrogen sulfide that give the area its characteristic smell of sulfur. But the excursions of "viviamocilento" also involve other small towns along the coast: from the sea of Casal Velino you will be dazzled by the beauty of beaches and coves, landing in Aspen (fraction of Pollica) to visit the splendid Palazzo Vinciprova. Here there are the "living museum of the sea", which today is one of the most visited museums and where were rebuilt ten marine habitats typical of the Cilento, and the "Living Museum of the Mediterranean Diet", dedicated to the American medical epidemiologist Ancel Keys, lived for over forty years in Cilento studying the relationship between local power and impact on cardiovascular disease, demonstrating the beneficial qualities of the diet. We can dive into more places of myth by visiting the marine protected area "Santa Maria di Castellabate," which extends between the tip and the Bay of Ogliastro Sauco, where it dominates the island of Licosa, whose name derives from Leukosia, one of the three sirens that Ulysses encountered on his journey. From the port of Acciaroli you sail to the "Beach of the Gulls", where he was born, "Angelo Vassallo Park" (in memory of the mayor of Pollica mysteriously killed in 2010) and between a Saracen tower and the other overlooking the sea, you reach the beach of the Red Ripe stretch of coast between Agnone Cilento and Ogliastro Marina. And in the land of the Mediterranean diet can not miss gastronomic tours to appreciate the many culinary delights that offer the Cilento, many of which are now classified as UNESCO intangible heritage. And then again a lot of music concerts with internationally renowned artists: Friday, September 5th at 20.00 in Piazza Virgilio in Palinuro is expected concert Camillorè and Mascarimirì, among the most innovative pinches of Salento, while Saturday, September 6 at the theater the Marina di Casal Velino everything is ready for the arrival of Raf. The Apulian singer will perform at 22.00 in the square with his greatest hits.
