Baroque tales of Giambattista Basile, Duke of Montemarano the inn Aglianico

The project "A Grand Tour in Irpinia over six centuries of history, traditions, food and wine", funded under the RDP Campania 2007/2013 - Actions co-financed by the EAFRD, the Local Development Plan LAG IRPINIA - SIZE 313 "Encouragement of tourism activities "Montemarano to reach the fifth stage. The roadshow was born to tell the places, characters and excellence typical cha have made the history of the geographical area of ​​Terminio-Cervialto, involving the six municipalities of San Mango sul Calore, Calabritto, Cassano Irpino, Salza Irpinia, Bagnoli Irpino and, indeed, Montemarano, village fragrant scents of Aglianico grapes and colored by the notes of the typical tarantella, solid fortress ultrasecolare and maze of districts to explore. The event is scheduled for the morning of Saturday, October 11th: starting at 11:30 will take place, in fact, the historical re-enactment titled "Tales from the Baroque Giambattista Basile - Duke of Aglianico Montemarano at the inn," that will join in location of Market Square. The protagonists of the show, featuring gorgeous period costumes of the seventeenth century, the historical period in which he lived the writer, this time will be the magnificent wine Aglianico, always cynosure of the local, and Giambattista Basile, 1615 by the then governor feud Montemarano, but especially renowned poet whose magnitude lies, in particular, in the production in Neapolitan dialect. The masterpiece of Basile is in fact the famous "The Cunto de li Cunti", a collection of fairy tales, folk, stretched out in the Neapolitan dialect, which presents a typical pattern of Boccaccio. Basile was awarded the title of Duke of Montemarano, dimorandovi long starting from 1626, in particular in the ancient castle where they developed a first draft of his greatest work. It seems that the poet has elected Montemarano as a place suitable for the processing of his work, as in the fairy tales have been handed down with special effect in the land of Irpinia. The reenactment will focus on the story of his novels in a country inn, where diners gathered around the dining table, to listen to the readings and above all to taste the renowned wine goblets Aglianico, excellent product of the territory of Montemarano. In an effort to expand the work of enhancing the prestigious product excellence, this new and penultimate stage of the Grand Tour in Irpinia will be developed in conjunction with a great reminder event: The Festival of Harvest - XXXI edition of the renowned Wine Festival, organized by Pro Loco "Association of Pro-Montemarano", which will take place in the evening, still in the location of Market Square. Wine tasting, traditional cuisine and good music will characterize the event. To enrich the experience, as usual, there will be an exhibition of photographs "Irpinia land of castles, faith, and tastefully sources", dedicated to enhancing the different aspects of Irpinia. In the evening you will be offered guided tours of the two museums that enrich the country: the Museum Ethnomusical "Celestino Anthony Coscia and mouthpiece" and the Museum of Sacred Parati, jewel exhibition. The "Grand Tour in Irpinia" will end on October 18 with the last stage in Bagnoli Irpino, in the company of the figure of Ambrose Salvio and delicious black truffle.
