Sam's back in Brighton with some brand new workshops!
Friday 18th July 2014:
7.30 - 9.30pm: Shadow Play
Fire your imagination with this dynamic exploration of the Silhouette: Your body in space. Animate moveable joints while considering shape, planes, dimensions and angles. Play with symmetry, asymmetry, negative and positive space. Frame statuesque poses: Bring your puppet to life! This workshop features stretches and strengthening to extend, expand, make space and bring grace. Think BIGGER, reach further.. Into the ether. Theatre games will be featured to better grasp the concepts presented and inspire. Come with a yoga mat, notebook and pen and an open mind.
fee: £ 28
Monday 21st July 2014:
7 - 9pm: Current Combination Play
In this workshop expect to see Samantha’s most current work. Fresh, experimental and fun. Discover the technique behind the shapes you have seen thrown on stage. Expect a cardio/movement based warm up with strengthening included to help you find the muscles required to move safely. Through original and dynamic Tribal Fusion sequences you will embody elegance and flair! Work deeper layers of fascia, thereby encouraging liquid mercury movement and sharp articulated isolations, characteristic of Sam’s style.
NOTE: for the students that came to Sam's workshop in 2013, this workshop does have the same description and title, but all material covered will be different from last year.
fee: £ 28
£48 for both workshops
