Dichotomy in balance

via lupetta 3, Milan, Italy

Dichotomy in equilibrium View Anthology by the artist Massimo Di Cave presentation at the opening of Alessia Locatelli MAEC - Via Gyroscopes, 3 - Milan, November 15 / December 20, 2014 A work that architect Massimo Di Cave all geared towards humanity and the pursuit of his ti en einai (from the greek essence). Feuerbach wrote that every man has in himself the feeling of infinity of the human race, but no single individual contains within itself this essence in its thoroughness. The man and his search for a location, its unheard yearning to infinity, are themes dear to the sensitivity of the artist who finds himself in the figuration not an exercise in rhetoric mannerist, but the need to deal with issues that are personal but , at the same time, universal. The origin of the works on display at the gallery anthological Maec - Milan Art & Events Center revolves around the concept of balance and simplicity without neglecting the aesthetic value. The materials used are often re-use (metal, paper, wood, iron) which - through gestures inspired - access to a new dignity. The language used by the artist takes the form of an art material, primitive, austere nicely but firmly to the flavor and taste of a manual of ancient times; the lines are read, sinuous and elegant, whether expressed in sculpture or painting. Wisdom and listening gird mediated from solid insight in the creative architect of the history of art and design. Romano, Massimo Cave found in Baroque - in rhythmic movements and golden colors of this style and bright - as well as the softness and inviting the Milanese Vico Magistretti a fundamental source of inspiration. In the gallery you will see works that tell the artistic journey of Massimo Di Cave from 2006 to 2014; large sculptural works in dialogue with other works on the wall in assonance emotional concept. An artistic canceling after having thoroughly assimilated, the contemporary language and return to the primitive sign as a means of expression capable of giving emotions, far from easy and short-lived trends that are followed now intermittently.
