Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 November in Saint Lucia di Piave, there will be a historical recreation of the ancient Fair of Saint Lucia, one of the most important Triveneto both for the quality of the cultural offer is for the number of visitors coming from all over Italy and abroad. We are at the beginning of 1300. Here, as in other places of many medieval villages, fairs mark the seasons. Those of Saint Lucia are, however, unique in its kind: the first related to commercial traffic on the road and the Hungarian ford obliged Lovadina become a crucial point for trade between Venice and Flanders. And so the merchants bring innovations here from the East and from North Europe: agricultural products, ceramics, textiles, leather and cattle are of Fairs Saint Lucia di Piave, a tradition that will live for thousands of years. Relive this atmosphere in the medieval market set up for the whole weekend, with the opportunity to buy handicrafts and gastronomy made by the members of the Committee Antique Fair: jams, cheeses, herbs, sweets, vegetables, textiles, leather and much more. There will be some really interesting new situations: the laboratory of archery with a demonstration of how to build the arches; the corner of Dyers on how the fabrics were dyed in the Middle Ages; painters and fresco painters with demonstrations of techniques of medieval fresco; the medieval site with a working team consisting of an architect, carpenter and various workers who will demonstrate how the buildings were built through a capstan wheel made by members of the Old Fair, as all the equipment in the field. Knights, soldiers, musicians, jugglers, fire-eaters and hawkers will perform continuously to create even more fascination and involvement. Saturday at 17.00 do not miss the big final show: "Between swords and tongues of fire: the mysteries of Marcantonio Brandolini abbot of Nervesa, the human beast" with the association Pier Adolfo Tirindelli, the Schola drums historians and the Knights of the Dragon . At 20.30 at the Shrine Parish, "In Iubilo cordis", a concert with the choir "St. Savior" and "OrcheStraforte." Sunday will be the turn of the big parade with more than 350 figures that at 14.00 will stage the official opening of the exhibitions: common people of the districts, and many other noble figures of the variegated universe that inspired the medieval parade in our area to create a show surprising. The former textile mill pavilion will host several exhibitions dedicated to the Middle Ages, showing that it was a dark age but a period full of inventions and discoveries: "The medicamentarius and his tavern" will illustrate the pharmacy in the Middle Ages: magic potion, poison or medicine ? "The art of paper" with the Workshop Chartaria Patavina, will introduce the history, tradition and technique of manufacture of a sheet of paper; "From the written word to the printed" with the printers' workshop will illustrate the invention of printing with movable type; "Glimpses of Medieval Life" will carry medieval paintings prepared by the group of painters of Saint Lucia. There will also be an exhibition of the works of the 10th European competition "Writing the Middle Ages" and the national contest "Target the Middle Ages." Sunday at 18:30 another great fire show with "Voices from the Middle Ages to Trambaque" end a weekend that will make a memorable trip in 1300.
