Curatorship Marina Zatta The Project We often hear: "In Art Modern everything has already been said." We Soqquadro do not think so. We can say that the beginning of the '900 to date the art has evolved into many current style and cultural posters who ferried the artistic language towards shores unusual that, in past centuries, would be preposterous. The leave of Painting and Sculpture from figuration through the current Abstract, and the same evolution Informal, Surreal, Symbolic, the Figurative; integrate into the artistic planning of Photography and, later, the Video Art and Computer Art; Conceptual research, the history of art and art Space Poor; Pop Art, Land Art, Installation, Performance, we can say that the last hundred years have given birth with prolific ideas, styles, innovative research. This makes' rise to the feeling that everything has already been seen, nothing is new. But this is, in fact, a feeling. Technology and History are constantly moving, this makes it impossible for the static nature of any human language. If you change the tools and changing the social environment / existential, how is it that there is nothing new to say? The need to make the paths to the bottom pushes the artists is pursuing the continuation of research initiated in the past years, but the use of a language already known does not necessarily create the consequence of the "nothing to say". In recent years, as they have done for centuries, there is a "seed" of today's artists to be found among the great masters of the past, but things that are said are not the same. Each artist, today as yesterday, is her path starting from things already carried out behind him, each artist recognizes and identifies with figures that have determined the evolution of language, but recognize and seek a Master does not prevent him from finding a His personal journey. Soqquadro asks the participating artists of this exhibition, to present their work to the public by communicating what great Maestro recognize as a guide in their work, in order to present a vision of the exhibition that allows the conjugation of Past and Present, and at the same time offer the ability to read the current work with the knowledge of the history that accompanies them and, therefore, to see and understand the evolution of the styles presented. Part of the participating artists have decided to donate a significant percentage of the sale of their works to the Association Peter Pan NPO and during the opening night will be collected funds among the visitors of the exhibition. Soqquadro born in October 2000 and since then has produced more than 150 exhibitions in public and private spaces, in Italy and abroad, working with about 500 artists, painters, sculptors, photographers, video artists, performers, designers. Soqquadro collaborates with the International House of Women since 2009 and he has made several exhibitions and literary. The International House of Women is a space very vital located in known and characteristic Trastevere, in the center of Rome. The space is in the seventeenth-century palace of the Good Shepherd, where for more than three centuries have been imprisoned women imputante of "transgression" which were imposed the strict path of "repentance" which provided for the mortification of the bodies and the cancellation of their identity people and women. This space has been redeemed by the feminist movement that Roman turned it restored it and saving it from decay, making it a place dedicated to women and a cultural hub of conferences, debates, exhibitions. The Peter Pan Onlus Association offers free accommodation to children with cancer and their families from all over Italy and the world come to Rome to be treated in the departments of oncology and hematology hospitals Child Jesus and Policlinico Umberto I.
