THE STREETS In the beyond Lu.CCA Lounge & Underground intimate visions of the Pisan painter from February 17 to March 15, 2015 Closed in the study, wrapped in silence and open to listening to the soul of things, the Pisan painter Marco Calvani seeks to give voice essentials through the language of reality and nature. Biographical notes of Marco Calvani was born in Pisa in 1970, resides in San Casciano di Cascina (PI). After the Diploma of Applied Arts in the Art of Glass and Crystal Art Institute in Pisa, from 1989 to 1993 he continued his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, at the School of Painting of Professor Silvio Loffredo and subsequently in that of Professor Giancarlo Caldini. Since 1990 follows the course of engraving under the guidance of professors Alberto Manfredi and Amedeo Lanci. In 1992, on the occasion of the two thousandth anniversary of the death of Horace, with four engravings illustrating the book Orazio, seven odes, translations of P. Lecis. In 1995, on the centenary of cinema, creates an engraving published, along with those of seven other artists, in a plaquette limited edition edited by writer and film historian Leopold Paciscopi. In 1997, teaches a course in art at the private school "Accademia del Giglio" in Florence.
