In its 33rd edition, Bergamo Film Meeting has recruited four of the best illustrators from the Italian daily cartoon to tell the Festival. Tuono Pettinato, Sarah Mazzetti, Daw and Dr. Pira be watching what happens in the room, you will push behind the scenes, to delve into the darkest corners of the Festival, to capture the most important moments of each day and bring them on paper. The daily strips will be presented inside the bookshop set up in Piazza della Libertà every night at 20:00 and soon after, in collaboration with Corpoc, will be available to the public to be screen-printed on paper, T-shirt, sweatshirt or on any other medium everyone can bring home. Also in collaboration with Corpoc will be reproduced in a limited edition screen-printed artwork dedicated to the 33rd edition of the Festival will realize that Tuono Pettinato inspired to film polar. During Bergamo Film Meeting the artists will exhibit a selection of their most significant works and meet the public. Tuono Pettinato, in addition to meet the public, will hold a workshop drawing. Sunday, March 8th, 2015 | 15:00 pm WORKSHOP DESIGN WITH THUNDER PETTINATO The workshop, aimed at young people aged 17 and older, students of Institutes of the Arts, Academy of Fine Arts and Film Schools will be held by Tuono Pettinato, is among the most popular of the panorama of Italian comics. The author will lead an interactive workshop linked to the themes of polar, starting from the stereotypes that characterize the genre straddling the noir and detective. Member of collective Superamici (now Brothers of Heaven) is considered one of the most popular and appreciated Italian cartoonists. Author of numerous works, has created comic book biographies of people like Galileo Galilei, Garibaldi and Alan Turing and Kurt Cobain plus some graphic novels including little body, Apocalypso! The years cheesy and The magnificent slacker. The artist's style is classic and original at the same time: tells stories with delicacy and tenderness. He has worked with magazines such as "XL", "Animals" and "Linus" and in 2014 collaborated with Fumettologica.it, and was also awarded as "Best Author Unique" Lucca Comics & Games. tuonopettinato.blogspot.com SARAH MAZZETTI freelance illustrator originally from Bologna, Sarah studied Communication Sciences in Bologna and Illustration at the European Institute of Design in Milan. Draw from when she was little and for six years he does professionally. Passionate about visual arts and all that is drawing, his works appear on the covers of Feltrinelli and on the pages of international magazines such as "GQ" the "New York Times." It is also occupied the creation of posters for the Lokomotiv Bologna and some artwork for Garrincha Discs. In his works often subjects mingle with the environment around them, in a mosaic of shapes and colors that pleases the eyes and the mind. Since 2012 he joined the collective Teapot, label illustrations and comics which includes Giulia Sagramola and Cristina Spano. He also runs a course in screen printing and self IED in Milan. www.sarahmazzetti.com DAW Bergamasco, versatile artist with the hobby of mail delivery, David Berardi aka Daw has a biting humor and over the top and a natural physical beauty that does not hesitate to produce upon request. On his blog, thoroughly updated with slow irregularities, he narrated the story of the characters more real than reality, which have already become a cult by adoring followers. In 2007 sees the light his first work in comics A as ignorance, and you will find a whole host of wacky characters, with stories without any reverence for the politically correct, while among his characters remind Lov, the numerous series of cartoons that deal the theme of love in the pair, published agenda Gazzenda and who then made their appearance on the television show Loveline, at the time broadcast by MTV Italy. www.dawful.com DR. PIRA Nobody knows his name and his date of birth. He teaches at the IED in Rome and regularly updates his blog Comics serfdom. Punk, former graffiti artist, also a member of the collective of underground cartoonists of the Brothers of Heaven, has to his credit numerous characters including the most famous are Violent Rap and Cat Mondadory. He has collaborated with numerous magazines including "Vice," "XL", "Picnic," and made two graphic novel centered on the character of Cat Mondadory, both published by GRRRzetic. Dr. Pira is perhaps an author niche, but its result is made of loyalists.
