Whilst originally working as a marketing executive, Ana would combine her busy lifestyle with a dedicated practice to sports and martial arts. In one of her travels to France, she discovered Ashtanga yoga and fell in love with the practice. From that moment on, she decided to deepen her studies, traveling all over Latin America to practice and study with renowned Vinyasa teachers, and finally taking up her first training course with Tias Little in New Mexico.
One day, while visiting New York on a business trip, Ana took a Jivamukti Class with Sharon Gannon and David Life. Since that day, her path changed completely.
She decided to train as a Jivamukti Teacher and completed the 800 hours program under the tutelage of Jivamukti Senior teacher Yogeswari Eichenberger, who became (and continues to be) her Mentor.
Her commitment to yoga also led her to create and found Yogastudio Colombia, a pioneer in its kind and a greatly successful yoga studio in Colombia. Ana’s experience with Jivamukti yoga was further enriched through the hosting and completion of Anusara Inspired Immersions with BJ Galvan.
Ana’s classes are flowing, creative, infused with a diverse selection of music and with an emphasis on a particular theme from the traditional Yoga teachings.
While teaching Yoga, Ana has continued to follow her learning path in areas connected to yoga and wellbeing – she is a qualified holistic nutritional coach from the New York School of Integrative Nutrition, and has developed numerous tailor-made wellness programs for individual and corporate clients. She also hosts regular retreats in the Caribbean that combine Yoga and nutritional guidance.
In addition to teaching, Ana co-authored a children´s yoga book and served as consultant for the TV show inspired by the book.
