Presence Through Movement is a unique workshop created by Kim Eng that uses the practice of Qi Flow Yoga and movement to focus on the transformation of consciousness through the integration of mind, body and spirit. Inspired by t’ai chi, yin yoga, and qigong, Kim fuses these ancient practices with meditation to focus your energy inward and open a doorway to moments of stillness to help you connect with the deeper dimension within yourself. Our energy is meant to flow freely through our body, but when we are completely identified with the incessant stream of compulsive thinking, energy blockages develop in our body. The workshop offers an experiential portal to inner body awareness. This is a practical way to access the present moment, the place where all healing occurs and energy blockages can be dissolved. Presence Through Movement helps to cultivate a balance between yin (passive) and yang (active) energy, embrace a state of allowing and accepting whatever arises during your practice, thus growing presence-power, and so blossom into your life’s purpose, which is the awakening of consciousness. The workshop consists of a series of movements, seated, standing and lying down postures. It is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Please wear loose comfortable clothing. Bring your own yoga mat and any props if needed (such as cushions, blocks, bolster, blanket).
