Jean-Marc Cerrone, well know as Cerrone, was born 1952 in Paris, France. Together with Giorgio Moroder he is aimed as Europes most important contribution of the Disco-Sound. "I don't produce records to press up my musical ideas to any minorities. Musical desires of that kind should be better practiced at home in the own cellar. For me it is more important to make music that appeals to broad audiences. Why this is tabooed by so many people doesn't go into my head." With this opinion he sold more than 10 Million records until 1979. First album gave disco classic "Love in C Minor"; one of the first disco songs to fill a side of a record with an extended version of just one song. Listen for the beat - it is exactly what people mean when they say disco beat. "Cerrone's paradise” was another goal as his synthetic biggest hit, Supernature, that won five Grammy Awards.
The fashionable, fun, and sometimes freaky sound of Milan-born DJ/producer Benny Benassi first hit the charts under that name in 2002 with the electro-meets-house single "Satisfaction."
Although "Satisfaction" charted internationally, it wasn't the first time that Benassi had tasted success. In 2001, he had worked with vocalist Dhany on the infectious "I Feel So Fine," which initially stormed the Italian charts before it hit the number one spot in the U.K. A year later, Pumphonia marked the first full-length release under the Benassi Bros. His 2007 summer remix of Public Enemy's "Bring the Noise" went on to win a Grammy in early 2008, further enhancing his profile and leading to work with big names such as David Bowie and Madonna. Summer 2008 brought another solo album, Rock 'n' Rave, but it was 2011's Electroman that featured some of his most internationally successful material: the Kelis-fronted "Spaceship," the Chris Brown-led "Beautiful" e," and the Gary Go collaboration "Cinema." 2012 was marked by Benassi's production work on Madonna's MDNA, and 2013 brought "Dance the Pain Away," a solo single that featured John Legend.
Reset! used to gave their name to incredible parties, and this took them onto the most coveted international stages, thanks also to quite a few collaborations and remixes for Cassius, Fatboy Slim, Robyn, Audio Bullys, Bingo Players, Fenech Soler and others.
Reset! created a tremendous amount of releases, even for prestigious labels like Cheap Thrills, Dim Mak, Southern Fried and Mad Decent, got airplayed on BBC1 Radio and settled at the top of Beatport charts, thanks to their unique mix that blends funk, electro, house and hip hop.
Their first album, Future madness (Sony / Epic, 2014), include guest stars Guè Pequeno, Francesco Sarcina, Emis Killa, Noyz Narcos, Ghemon, and rappers Erick Sermon (EPMD), Keith Murray, Afrikan Boy through to a legendary protagonist of english new wave, Paul King.
