Crispy Music Festival Detroit Preview

The Ritz Detroit 24300 Hoover Rd, Warren, Michigan, Stati Uniti

This is the Crispy Music Fest Preview for the Main show in Saginaw Michigan.

This great Pre Show will be bringing together great artists and groups from Mid Michigan and the Detroit area. It is currently featuring great acts such as;

Byron James - Hip Hop / R and B artists out of Detroit.

Seritas - A Mid Michigan Duo that combines Heavy Yet Melodic Riffs. Seritas is comprised of Guitarist/singer Ryan Evans and the Pounding Rock drums of Misty Evans. Seritas is a style yet to be defined my any genre.

Nine Years Away - a group of friends-Brian Kapelanski, Matt Looney, Easton Grainer, and Bob White- made up the band 22lb Catfish. However, the band was short-lived because Bob, 22 lbs Catfish's drummer, decided to "keep it in the family" and drum in The Order, the band his brother Andy was in at the time. As 22lb Catfish searched relentlessly for a new drummer, they changed their name to Nine Years Away and started writing new songs. With a new name, a new drummer, and new outlook, Nine Years Away began to take off, playing gigs at various Detroit and Ann Arbor area venues. Around this time, The Order was becoming "out of order", as they lost a guitarist and bass player. With respect and mutual adoration for each other's music and talents, the White brothers and Nine Years Away "banded" together with a commitment to push their way around the Detroit music scene. With newest band member Patrick We Take Tonight Alivers, Nine Years Away continues to perform their unique sound of punk/rock music in a variety of venues across the state of Michigan. All shows are in memory of Brian Kapelanski-''You Will Always Live In Our Hearts". Sept. 1 , 2010 . The Band has had some changes recently . With the unfortunate departure of Andy white , due to a job out of state , we have a new lead guitar player . Adam Greener Joined the Band . And has been a great fill . Also with Patrick Wears moving on we were able to bring back one of the originals . He was with us when we first started out . He was 11 then and 18 now. Easton Grainer is back on bass. We have had our ups and downs over the years and have learned alot about the business . We keep comming . Enjoy friends . You never know when its your last show . Never say goodbye..... bout one for the road

Dead Sky (formerly Nothing for Now), With the name deriving from an answer to a simple question of ‘What are you calling yourselves?’ comes Nothing For Now. This quintet of talented musicians solidified early in 2011 after years of evolving and growing, desperately trying to find the right pieces for creating a great sound. With over twenty years of performance experience accumulated by the five musicians, Nothing For Now looks to put their fingers on the pulse of what’s next.

Tommy Vallejo, lead singer, has a unique and melodic tone that compliments and raises the music above the highest standards. Joe Bieringer, lead guitar and back up vocalist, is inspiring in his dedication to the art of creating and envisioning something spectacular, groundbreaking. Corey Newsome, percussionist, joined the band in 2010 and set the bar high having limitless talent and a relentless sense of timing, finesse. Filling a spot, and finding a long-needed musical home in the band in 2011, is Jay Neely who brings an unequivocal love for local music and passion behind each resonate sound he strikes. Recently, they completed the band with adding guitarist, C.J. Orgeck who compliments and amplifies every aspect of the band.

Inspired by their roots, locally and historically, Nothing For Now has a seemingly haunting sound. They are influenced by so many national acts like Tool, Deftones, NIN, even Marylin Manson. Yet they admit that the truest inspirations come from other local bands around them. “We are trying to create a sound for Detroit.” Joe Bieringer noted on a recent interview. They are doing far more than trying. They are eagerly taking to the local music scene with so much energy and passion. Their live performance makes you lean in closer, marveling at where their music can take you. It makes you involuntarily nod your head, tap the rhythm on your thigh, and feel the bass lead the beat in your chest.

The Distorted Waltz - Starting around 2007, Andy, Cody, and Matt began jamming together for fun, writing a large amount of original material and honing their musical chemistry. Years later the trio reunited as a formal band to record a collection of new and old songs as their first album under the name "The Distorted Waltz". Using a wide variety of influences and techniques, The Distorted Waltz presents a style of rock music that is hard to describe.

This Crispy Music Festival Pre show will be hosted at The Ritz Detroit.
