One small front room somewhere in Camden has brought people from all over the world a lot of joy over the last couple of years. In fact, so much joy to so many people that things started getting a bit out of hand… So, after a brief spell at the Star of Bethnal Green, and with an expanded lineup, we’re ready to bring frontroom to the world at large. For our first official event, we’ve invited good friend and Camden regular Nicolas Lutz to play records with us. We can’t wait.
Nicolas has been DJing for the best part of two decades. Born in Uruguay (or was that Jupiter?), after spells in London and Brazil, he’s recently made his home in Berlin. A serious collector and digger with an encyclopedic knowledge of (and natural feel for) electronic music, Nicolas’ sets never fail to move our bodies and our minds. Through his residency at London treasure Toi Toi Musik, the city has been lucky to hear him play multiple sets over the past couple of years, always different, gradually but surely building a devoted following in the capital. Nicolas and his wife Edurne are preparing to launch their label/art platform My Own Jupiter. Look out for the first release by Little Nobody, due to land imminently: varied, personal, and with feeling – just like one of Nicolas’ sets.
Plus frontroom DJs: Lee Arucci, Galvin, Gwenan and Andrew James Gustav.
Come join us at frontroom and hear what the postman delivered this week…
