Welcome to the RP Asian Awareness Day 2014 event page. This charity fundraising event has been organised to raise awareness of the retinal condition Retinitis pigmentosa, particularly amongst members of the Asian community.
We want to provide information on the help, support and guidance available to those with RP and how quality of life can be maintained following diagnosis.
As well as practical information on daily living and support, information on the latest clinical trials and scientific research will be presented, together with real life experiences of people who have maintained an active social and professional life following an RP diagnosis.
This fundraising event will be supporting the work of RP Fighting Blindness, a national charity dedicated to supporting those with RP and funding pioneering medical research.
You can find out more about the charity by visiting its website at www.rpfightingblindness.org.uk.
Representatives from RP Fighting Blindness will be also be present at the event advising on the services they offer and explaining about their work.
