Sanskrit and the Subtle Body a Weekend Intensive Workshop with Jessica Kung Dreyfus

Sangyé Yoga - Jivamukti Affiliate London 300 Kensal Road, London, UK

Sanskrit and the Subtle Body: a Weekend Intensive

Saturday 3-6:00pm (Sanskrit Workshop and Subtle Body Meditation):
Learning the Alphabet, and experiencing the anatomy of the Subtle Body through Nada Yoga

Sunday 3-6:00pm (Asana Workshop and Subtle Body Meditation):
Learning to listen and activate Bandhas and Mudras through asana and meditation.

Learn Sanskrit the yogic way; through its application to the subtle body, its sound, all via creative transmission. Engaging in an accelerated learning approach, Jessica and Stéphane teach from the Gross, Subtle and Causal Bodies, integrating an embodied asana practice with an intensive Sanskrit seminar. A weekend full of joy, engagement, and rigor, you will leave this workshop with an introduction to the Sanskrit alphabet, an understanding of how it relates to your yoga practice, and the ability to start to read Sanskrit tattoos! 20 page manual included with registration.

Jessica and Stéphane are an international teaching partnership. They bring passion, joy, and a unique approach to the study of Yoga. From 2010-2012, they completed a 450 day silent meditation retreat, during which they sincerely applied these teachings to their lives. Before beginning the retreat, they dedicated thousands of hours over the course of 15 years to the study of Yoga asana, Yoga Philosophy, Buddhism, and Sanskrit. World travelers and multi-lingual translators, they speak English, French, Chinese, and have reading knowledge of Sanskrit and Latin. They have studied Sanskrit for 10 years and have co-authored several publications including Unspoken, and the upcoming Basic Sanskrit for Yogis. They are the co-founders of Triveni Yoga, a vinyasa-based asana practice grounded in a Buddhist world view.

They are very grateful to the many teachers they have met on their path, especially Sharon Gannon, David Life, Lady Ruth Lauer-Manenti, Lama Marut, Geshe Michael Roach, Lama Christie McNally, and Desiree Rumbaugh.
