For some of us the most challenging thing is to simply relax.
Restorative yoga offers respite from the frenetic activity of daily life.
It’s a great compliment to an active asana practice as there is no muscular contraction involved. Props such and blankets and bolsters are incorporated to support and align the body to fully relax in each posture - stretching and softening whilst supported so that any tension can slowly be released.
Moving slowly through the poses allows you to explore the mind and body at a steady and natural tempo. The subdued quality of a restorative practice often helps to draw attention inward. This helps to create a sanctuary for the mind and spirit.
Come and experience the benefits of this practice.
Satsang is a way for yogis and yoginis to come together and deepen their sadhana (spiritual practice)…the evening can include chanting, meditation practice, readings, discussion, screenings, special guests…simply the coming together of like-minded individuals as a community.
Free... as always!
